Lemme Live and Park - hanging out at the festivals in our neighbourhood
When half of Belgium seems to hang out at Rock Werchter early, we chilled a bit at 2 local festivals in our neighbourhood.
After our visit in Maastricht and a cross-country drive to visit our (grand)mothers, we returned in the evening to settle down at the Scouts festival Lemme Live. Since we can hear the music from our garden and since it supports the construction of much needed new buildings for the boys scouts, we went to sit in the (chilly!) evening sun. The boys just ran around, bounced a lot in the bouncing castle, harassed their Scouts leaders a bit and found some neighbourhood children to play with. In the meantime Jan and I enjoyed some drinks and some food from the food stand.
There's never a crowd at Lemme Live but I'm impressed on the organization. Everything on a festival is there: security, sanitary accommodation, catering, multiple stages, good drinks, ... Even a low-stimulus zone was available. And the boys were hushed to get ear protection in when they wanted to approach the stage more. I appreciated that.
