Count your blessings - December 2024
- An international family reunion with relatives from Germany and Canada at the Aachener Christmas market
- My Canadian cousin (xth degree) coming over to stay with us for a few days and having the opportunity to show him around in Leuven.
- Sinterklaas for the boys
- Christmas markets in Aachen, in Leuven city centre, in the abbey, .... with relatives and friends from far and close
- Hot cocktails and mocktails at the Leuven Christmas market.
- My daily feed of The Far Side comics...such a fun daily smile. Why oh why did Gary Larson stop making new material already decades ago? At least we never got tired of what he did create.
- Helping out preparing DuwMee for Mobile School
- Multiple friends joining me on the walk of DuwMee and gathering an insane amount of money.
- Jan reorganizing our basement and kitching and livingroom cupboards, creating order and space again
- Supporting colleagues
- Nurofen, very effective against ear infections
- Being in bed early (and daring to choose for rest instead of rushing to the work's Christmas party)
- A lot of spare vacation days to take before the end of the year, allowing the many social activities but also allowing some needed rest in between.
- Not getting the children's nasty cold over the holidays
- Cosy nice family gatherings for Christmas
- Returning to the east of Belgium after 6 weeks of absence
- Pyjama mornings
- Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise Christmas specials on tv
- Getting out with friends for a End of Year vacation trip in France
