A sunny fall vacation week

Last year we thought we'd not return to Gran Canaria during the autumn vacation but old habits die hard...or don't die but become a tradition anyhow. 


Right after Jan had received his new car, we tested it all out by heading to the airport and leaving it there for a week. Ha that fixed the issue that his parking permission in Leuven wasn't ready just yet. 

To my relief we only left on Saturday afternoon when the first huge vacation exodus rush had passed at the airport. 

By the evening we arrived very tired but happy to arrive in a place so familiar it feels a little bit like home. Immediately we settled in our room and in the vacation routine of reading next to the pool and chilling.  This is the most relax vacation we do and I love it so much.  It was great to absorb the sun again before winter hits us and I could use a week of no activities whatsoever to clear my head and emotions a bit.
