Late new year's letters

Years ago I was frustrated that it was hard to make appointments for New Yea and that our children's new year's letters were exchanged with their godparents late in the year but I got used to it. And I learned to appreciate the postponed rush after all the other holidays. 

We hosted Beertje's godfather and godmother both with a brunch at home and Kabouter's godfather came recently for appetizers and then we went out for dinner.  It was all very cosy and nice.   Beertje still has real New Year's letters prepared at school to read.   Kabouter just really quickly improvised some wishes.
