Feestmee for the International Streetchildday on April 12th

If you follow my blog for a while or follow my on my personal social media pages, you know April 12th never comes by without attention for the International Streetchildday.

Together with the other volunteers at Mobile School, we try to put the 150 million talents of the streetchildren worldwide into the spotlight in a positive way.

From 20xx - 2013, we made huge chalk drawings on the biggest square in Leuven to catch the attention. #nostreetkidding
In 2014, we celebrated with #4mee with all our families together and a group of brave volunteers lived and slept outside for 24h.  That was a good preperation as next year's edition was already in our mind :).
In 2015, we slept with 160 people outside on the square in front of the Leuven train station. With this #streetsleep stunt we got the attention of all national media. It was pretty cool preparing as well.
In 2016 - 2017, we worked on the street.  You can't sleep all the time right ;). Like this we showed solidarity with all the children that need to make their living out in the street.
In 2018, we surprised all national media once again with a guerilla campaign in Ghent where we tagged all over the city #whoisjunieth.

This year we organised a big party #feestmee for all the volunteers and fans of Mobile School, to celabrate all these talents together. We found an industrial party site a bit outside of Leuven where we could all gather with some streetfood, an excellent line-up of DJ's and visit of our favourite drumband. Of course, movies and pictures of the streetchildren nearby the +50 global mobile schools were all around.  It was so fun as Mobile School has such an inspirational and impactfull project to support.

Drom in full action...one day before they went to win an international award in Paris at Concours Batucada

It was ages ago since I woke up with a party entree stamp on my hand :)
