Street art. Leuven (5)
I finally reached the North-West side of the Leuven city centre in February to go and see some more images.
DINDIN:
In a tiny residential dead-end street DINDIN made a big mural similar style as we have in our neighbourhood as well. The wall is particularly fun to spot lots of tiny very accurate details on them.
Katelijneparkje
Hidden behind the Klein Begijnhof, in a neighbourhood vegetable garden, has been decorated by the students of the nearby Wijnpers school at the end of 2019.
Dzia:
Dzia is also very famous and his art can be found in many Belgian cities and even abroad. We are very lucky to have several Dzia's in Leuven as well and some of them were featured in my previous posts. The foxes, which he features quite frequently, are my favourite.
In the Mechelsestraat you can admire a gorgeous peacock and in the student residence Camillo Torres there is another one.

Camillo Torres
Finally I've found the opportunity to walk to the student residence Camillo Torres. The student homes were built in the 70ies in the typical big concrete blocks style. I vaguely remember visiting my cousin when he started to study at the university probably about 30 years ago and I suspect he had a room here. Upon arrival it all didn't look as outdated as I had expected but I just found out the residence has been completely renovated in a big energy master plan.
Anyway, the place is since many years a hotspot for urban art. All concrete pillars in the bike park lots and staircase and patio's have been decorated in the past by artists. Fortunately the renovation has kept that intact so it seems.

Here's my fifth post on street art in Leuven. Version 4, version 3 en version 2 and version 1 can be found in my archives.

Beetje moeilijk om kiezen, maar DINDIN is toch wel mijn favoriet. Die eerste, met die kleine details, zalig.
